

So after yesterday’s quick picture update – here is an explanation for most of what we’ve seen so far this week
DVG – Warfighter Fantasy : Plumeria
a cooperative 1 to 6 player game that places you in Fantasy Era of Adventure. Select heroes, equip them, engage hostile creatures and advance to your objective. Ages 14 and up. Moderate complexity, plays in 30 to 90 minutes depending on players and scenario.
GMT Games – North Africa ‘41
Rommel’s first campaign from March to December of 1941 is explored in this game. Using an easy to learn Move/Fight/Supply developed with Normandy ‘44 & Holland ‘44. There are 3 scenarios, a full campaign game, ‘Enter Rommel’ and Crusader. 2 pliers, ages 14 and up. Scenarios last 3 to 12 hours depending on players.
GMT Games – Plantagenet
England 1459. Having lost the Hundred Years War, noble houses are looking to amass power and wealth and prepare to move against the king. Using the Levy & Campaign system players lead either the forces or Lancaster or York, fight battles, amass troops, sway nobles to their cause and attempt to capture the throne. Plays in 2 to 4 hours.
GMT Games – Liberty or Death : An American Insurrection (COIN games Volume V)
a card assisted counterinsurgency game for 1 to 4 players. Relive the struggle as the Patriots attempting to throw off the yoke of British rule or as the British Government trying to bring the rebels to heel and keep the colony under British rule. Multiple solitaire modes, long and short duration scenarios and random or period events make the game highly replayable. Medium complexity.
Smirk & Dagger – Boooop
a challenging, cute and deceivingly challenging game for 2 players. Try to place your kittens on the bed, make rows to get cats and then get a group of cats together to win. 2 players, ages 10 up. Takes under half an hour. Look out for the Ghost cats!
Mongoose Publishing – Central Supply Catalog update 2023
a variety of equipment from laser cannons to cameras – things you might need to entertain a local emissary to age war on an upstart group. Game statistics, illustrations and more. 180+ pages of things you didn’t know you needed… until now.
Tau Leader Games – Deep Space D-6
a solitaire crew assignment game… in deep space. Place your workers and try to survive the rigors and challenges of deep space. 1 player, age 14 and up. Plays in about half an hour.
Furia Games – Deck of Wonders
1 or 2 players cooperatively summon minions, cast spells, battle villains and try to stay one step ahead of Fate. Takes about 15 minutes to play a single game. There is also a legacy campaign mechanic for those wishing to do so.
Evan’s Games – Bunny Party at Maple Valley
The Night Shy Party is approaching. Try to decorate for the party and win the honor of hosting. But there is a catch – you need to team up with another player and work together… but betrayal and backstabbing happen and 2 players win – so watch your back. for 3 or 4 players ages 8 and up. Plays in under half an hour.
Tau Leader Games – Deep Space D6 Armada
a cooperative game of space combat and crew management. Venture across the galaxy, complete away missions, defend planets from enemy attack and keep the federated planets safe. Customize your ship, recruit heroes and overcome challenges. 1 to 4 players, ages 14 and up. Plays in 60 to 90 minutes.
Cherry Picked Games – Far Away : To Boldly Go Where Noone Has Returned From
explore new Worlds, find food & shelter, discover creatures, take on one of eight missions and try to succeed where others have failed. Carry your legacy to the next mission… if you can. 2 players, ages 13 and up. Plays in around 2 hours, but can be more or less spending on players and scenario.
One Up Parties and Games – Castle Break
Complete to Quest by getting goods, harnessing your magical powers and using your equipment. Gain coins and subsequently the keys to the Dragon Tower. Release the Dragon to become Champion. Watch out for your opponents who will be bargaining, trading, ambushing and plotting your failure. Ages 10 and up. Plays in around an hour.
Spite House Games – I Would Destroy the Ring
a party game of nerdy hypotheticals. Each player has 60 seconds to answer a question posed by the Hypothetical Card using the Plot Cards given. Best answer wins! For 3-8 players, ages 17 and up. Plays in around half an hour.
Sprocket Games – Ninja Cat Cucumber Attack
2-4 players, ages 5 and up, battle weapon wielding Ninja Cats and try to control the deck and win all the cards. Watch out for the Cucumber and reign supreme. 60 cards and rules.
Iello Games – Allegra
2 to 6 player semi-cooperative card game for ages 8 and up. Try to get the least points as you arrange, share and play cards. Keep your eye on your opponents and plot accordingly. Ages 8 and up.
Rookie Mage Games – Oh Nutz!
3 to 5 players, ages 7 and up. Be the squirrel to have the biggest stash of Nutz. Plays in around 15 minutes or so.
Wonderbow – Hunters of Lost Creatures
2 to 5 players, ages 5 and up. Learn in a few minutes, plays in about a quarter hour. Collect creatures and build the weirdest wildlife park. Smellephants, Monopus and more await your quest.
