So it’s Spring Auction Eve here at Games Plus. Subsequently we will diligently be resetting the game room to house bunched of bidders, bales of boardgames, billets of books, mountains of miniatures and acrs of accessories.
So – for the rest of the week… the game room is now the Auction Room.

Yes indeed, more product has gotten into the store. So – here is a little look at the newest items that have made it in since the weekend. And, don’t forget – the Spring 2024 Auction is just around the corner. Paperwork is being handed out now – item intake begins Feb 19th (until March 2nd)

From the simple act of moving the items from the back to the staging area to those who helped auction, record and justify the records… we can’t do it without you. Thank you!

We are going through the Fall Auction lots and getting totals and unsold merchandise together. We expect to have the totals and returns ready on FRIDAY 10/13.
The Game Room is back and fully functioning. The terrain is back, the game library is back and the doors are open. However, call ahead. With last week disrupting games we are packed with reservations and we might not have tables this weekend.

The MIT Press – Monsters, Aliens and Holes in the Ground A guide to Tabletop Roleplaying games from D&D to Mothership. This guide examines the different RPGs that released as time went on from D&D in the 70s to about 2020 with reviews and information about over 300 different titles, their evolution and play. 400+ full color hardbound pages with many an illustration.

Thursday 10/5 – Historical Games – all the historical games, magazines, accessories and more. doors open at 6:00pm for previews – Auction starts at 7:00pm
Friday 10/6 – Roleplaying Games – All the tabletop roleplaying game books, modules, accessories, magazines and more doors open at 5:30pm for previews – Auction starts at 6:30pm
Saturday 10/7 – Boardgames – Family games, Eurogames, magazines, accessories, non-conflict games and more. doors open at 9:00am for previews – Auction begins at 10:00am
Sunday 10/8 – Miniatures – all the miniatures doors open at 8:30am – Historical miniatures auction begins at 9:30 and continues until 11:30am. Mixed items continue from 11:30am on.
The Games Pus Fall Auction is a live auction – attendees sign up for a bidder card and pay as you go with cash. Bidders can arrange for a tab which allows them to bid for items and pay when they leave.
Sunday also features an Auction Store. There will be a number print items (rules, magazines, supplements, reference books) which are available to purchase at a set price chosen by the seller. The Auction Store is available through the day with breaks.
The store will be open during the auction but the Game Room will be CLOSED until Tuesday 10/10.
And that’s that for the Fantasy/Sci-fi/Family board game entries. We have exceeded our cap on the number of Saturday Board game items we can take and expect to do a decent enough job auctioning them.
We are still taking Thursday Night Board games (Historical/Conflict games) as well as role playing games, miniatures, terrain and all the other sort of stuff. Just not items for Saturday. So PLEASE bring your items in if they would go into other auctions.
There is always next year! Meanwhile expect a fully stocked Saturday Auction.
We appreciate the overwhelming response to the 2023 Fall Auction, but it looks as though we are about to be overwhelmed with items for the Saturday (Board Game) Auction and will stop taking items in that would be auctioned on Saturday.
Are we still taking in items for the other auction days? Why yes. Wednesday’s Auction (Magic the Gathering, Pokemon, other Collector card games and their accessories) still has plenty of space. The Thursday Historical/Conflict game auction can use more games, magazines and accessories. Have items to put in the Friday Night Role Playing Game Auction? We are happy to take items for that auction as well. The Sunday Miniatures Auction is still accepting items too.
It is ONLY the Saturday items we are stop taking items for.
