Why 5 days of auctioning? Is there really that much?
We get several thousand items submitted for sale to the Games Plus Auction. In order to auction off that many items, we spread the event across the week and weekend (Wednesday through Sunday). This lets us categorize days, allowing buyers to come to auction day(s) they are most interested. For example, Friday is the Roleplaying game auction, so it’ll have RPGs and RPG-related items up for auction.
How long has Games Plus been doing this?
This spring will be our 81st Auction. The Auction has grown since it’s humble beginnings of “a hundred or so items, over single Saturday afternoon” to having 5 days of auctions with over 6,000 items passing through us to buyers.
Looking to sell items at the Auction?
In order to sell items in the auction you simply need to sign up for a lot number, pick up some paperwork, fill out a roster of items you wish to have us auction, tag them, bring them in and we take care of the rest.
You can also email us (use the contact form below) and get a PDF roster and instructions and take care of it all in the comfort of your own abode. In return you receive 100% of the sale price in store credit to get games, miniatures, modules, rule sets or other items from the store.
Want to attend the Auction?
All you need do is show up. We’ll assign you a Bidder Number and you will be all set to go.
It’s a live auction. If an item your interested in comes up, raise your bidder card. The auctioneer will increase the price as people bid. If the price slips above your purchase price, lower your bidder card.
Last bidder with a card in the air gets it at that price. You can “pay cash as you go” during the Auction, or set up a “Tab” that you settle up when you are done for the day.
