Saturday Morning Update

Hey there everyone!
Rich here with a Saturday Photo Montage.

We survived the GenCon Tornado and Flood.

We are back – but it’s been a whole lotta chaos trying to get the the stuff back on the shelves, order stock up, and deal with the latest MTG debacle of Hobbit Play Boosters… or the lack of them, as it were.

That said – Here is a quick bit of pictures to let you know what’s come in.

There are new Vallejo 4 color ‘BSL’ paint sets, new RPGs, D&D item, monster and spell cards and so much more.

Come on in, take a gander and hopefully next week we will be back on course for more detailed stuff. In the mean time – enjoy the summer weather!

Trails of Maya demo at Games Plus (Saturday Aug 8, time TBA)

EDIT – the Department of Lore staff who were going to demo have had an issue, so they are changing it to Saturday the 8th. Time TBA.

The folks from the Department of Lore will be showing up on SATURDAY AUGUST 8th (time TBA) to run some demo games post-GenCon.

They will have a table hosting a couple of games there, starting around 5pm.

Here is your chance to see the game in action and talk to the folks behind it.

CLOSED July 4th – and new stuff too.

Hey there folks.
To recap – we are CLOSED on Saturday July 4th. And Open again on Sunday July 5th our regular hours (10am to 7pm)
That said – we’ve gotten a bunch more in since the start of the week. And here we are with that:
Hegemonic Project Games – World Order : The Race for Global Hegemony
2-4 player game – ages 14 and up. Play in 2-3 hours. In this game players act as heads of state trying to become the political (or military) power that no other nation dares cross. Build up your military, create diplomatic entreaties and trade with other nations to create economic benefits.
Queen Games – Propeller Island
2-4 players (ages 10 and up) try to erect buildings, manage resources and create floating islands. Dice drafting allow clever timing and tactics while charming artwork and endless combinations of upgrades provide vast replayability. Games last an hour to an hour and a half.
Wonderbow – Whispering Woods
1-4 players (ages 10 and up) explore a section of the magical Whispering Wood trying to find the path to victory. Place tiles, move along the path to complete your task to win. Earn cards to create combos which can gain you more points. Includes solo rules. Plays in about half an hour.
Direwolf Games – Wild Tiled West
Draft tiles, build towns and try to improve your settlement. Keep no-good-rotten outlaws at bay, strike it rich in the mines or risk your gains at the gambling table. Combines strategy and luck for a fun time. For 1-5 players. PLays in around an hour to an ahour and a half. Ages 13 and up.
Pazio – Pathfinder Lost Omens : High Seas
This gazetteer explores the high seas and it’s many secrets both above and above the waves. The history and culture and current events on the High Seas, it’s countless islands of the regions and the events below. Includes new character options and guidance for naval conflicts.

A game about the great potato famine. Designed for 2 to 5 players, each player taking the role of a tenant farmer attempting to make a life for themselves as the game begins. Population swells and things are good. After the Blight occurs then game play changes to survival and opportunity. Tell the tale of human perseverance through extreme challenges. Plays in 1 to 2 hours.
Combat! 3 : Eastern Front
Using the Combat! system this solitaire game of man to man combat puts you on the Eastern Front in World War Two in charge of either a German or Russian squad. 11 scenarios test your mettle and a random scenario generator is included to help add to the replayability. An included campaign game gives you 10 different scenarios to lead your troops through. Plays in around 3-4 hours.
Skybound Games – Invincible Hero Building Game
Team up with friends in this hero building game. The Guardians of the Globe have fallen. As a newbie teen hero you will need to step up and learn fast to deal with threats to people everywhere. This cooperative bag building game gives you seven replayable episodes, each with gameplay twists and challenges. Rescue innocent civilians, thwart the bad guys and with a little luck survive long enough to graduate. 1 to 4 players, ages 13 and up. Plays in about 45 minutes to an hour and a half.
Nerd Lab – Agent Avenue
2 players are spies moving through their neighborhood. You notice signs of enemy agents and now you must figure out what’s going on around town… Plays in around 15 minutes

Reaper Minis Metals in the House!

Hey there everyone.
Rich here with a wee bit of news. Well about 1,400 pieces of news. We have brought in darn near -all- of the Reaper Miniatures Dark Heaven metal minis line.

So.

If you are a fan of metal figures and want a chance to see them, feel them, touch them and buy them in person… here you go.

How do you organize all those guys?
In this case – but what they are. Looking for a human fighter? A Sorcerer? Glance down the wall and you should find a peg full of minis that might well work for you.

So come on in and take a browse, find some minis you like and enjoy yourself. And thank Ken for putting the effort into organizing all those minis…

Holiday Hours – Christmas Eve, Day & New Years

Hi Ho Games Plus Fans, Friends and browsers.

With the holidays fast approaching – a quick update on hours:

Christmas Eve (Wednesday 12/24) – we will be CLOSING at 5:00pm

Christmas Day (Thursday 12/25) – we will be CLOSED

New Years Eve (Wednesday 12/31) – we will be Open our Regular Hours, but post close gaming will be closing a bit early to let the staff get home outside of tipsy-reverler traffic hours.

New Years Day (Thursday 1/1/20260 – we will be open our regular hours (10:00am -9:00pm)

Friday Night Update (Dec 12)

Hey there all! Rich here with a end of the week update.

First things first – if you have not seen the announcement – Rett’s retirement party has been postponed. Real life has interfered and we shall be rescheduling.

Secondly – we’ve go a whole buncha stuff. Yes, a buncha.
Which is to say more than some, less than a ton and hard to quantify beyond ‘bunch’.

So there are holiday figures from Reaper, new Chibi reaper figures, a bunch of new boardgames, new wargames (whoops) Historical Simulation Games from Vuca Simulations, Star Wars books from Edge Studios that have returned, Arkham Horror Dreamlands supplement, Stranger Things miniatures and well, a whole lot more.
…like the Mr. Potatohead Beholder.

So stop on in and take a look. Tonight, tomorrow, next week when it’s warmer…

Rett’s Retirement Party…

Hi Ho to all y’all out there in internet-land.
Rich here with an event update.

As you may (or may not have given the way social media feeds and spotty providers ) Rett is retiring and we were going to host a shindig in celebration this weekend.

Sadly, that event has to be postponed. Rett will not be able to make it, so we can’t really have the party without him.
